The Baylor Illuminate strategic plan aims to expand scholarship across five primary areas (i.e., health; data sciences; materials science; human fluorishing, leadership and ethics; and Latin America). We are located in a newly-renovated research laboratory space on the second floor of the Baylor Science Building (BSB) and part of a dynamic faculty whose research focuses on cancer, stem cell biology, development and the microbiome. Notably, the BSB houses six primary core facilities that accelerate our research. The biology department has two main research tracks: Cell, Molecular, Health and Disease (CMHD) & Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology (EEO)
